Unreal creatures

I decided to do my presentation on the fantasy creatures and the controversy on them .although they didn't exist
Many people have enjoyed making great movies and plays with them especially great portraits and paintings. There so magnificent but yet UN- real people might even have mistaken them for modern day animals or dinosaurs but they are UN- real. Although what if they were… I would like you all to take 2 to 4 minutes drawing a sketch of a mythical creatures this would include anything that isn’t modern day and past animals and humans( no humans no vampires centaurs ware wolves nothing to do with humans)now that you've done this the creature you have drawn let’s get to our discussion questions

1. If you were to have thins creature you do as a pet just like a pet (remember that cat and dogs for example have bad habits keep you’re creatures habits at mind.
2. Now since this is a fantasy creature if it could talk would you talk to it? Would you be friends with it?
3(to those who creatures are large) if this thing was a menace but it was for good reasons would you "take care of it" or would you try to understand why it does things and leave it alone.
3.To those who have small creatures)if this creature was wild and un willing like a wolf would you try to domesticate it or leave it as is in the wild terrorizing things.

Nail Art

I decided to do nail art because it was different. i also wanted to show the different ways to create nail art. Nail art started in the 19th century. i was interested in nail art because i was fascinated with the things that people can do with nails. i was also interested because no two designs are alike.

1.) why do you think nail art was created?

2.)if you could create your own nail how would you design it?

3.) what are some tools that may be used to make nail art?

1940's Swagg

This is a picture of a Zuit suit and Vintage dress that men and women wore in the 1940's. This caught my attention because I couldn't believe people actually dressed like this. Also if you look at the way some people dress now and look back at this you see a major difference in what we call swag and what they used to call it. Now we wear baggy jeans and short dresses and skirts. But back then they more these long type dresses and these suits with high cuffed tight legged trousers and long coats with wide shoulders.

Discussion Questions
1. What do you think of the way people dressed in the 1940's?
2. If these clothes came back in style would you wear them? Why or Why not?
3. How are the Vintage dress and Zuit suit similar to the dresses and suits we have today?

The Scream

The person who made the scream was Evard Munch in 1893. He was inspired by all these tragic things happening and the main person there is screaming and the others aren't noticing anything. There was four copies. One was made of oil, tempera, and pastel on cardboard. I like this artwork because there are many things that can be represented in here. For one thing the man two men in the behind can be the cause of why the man is screaming. Another could be that he is paranoid and doesn't like water and doesn't like being near it.

Discussion Questions
!. What do you think this artwork means?
2.Why do you think he is screaming?
3. Why do you think there are two people in the background?

Pumpkin Carving

I have never carved a pumpkin until last halloween. Which was like a couple days ago. When I carved my pumpkin it looked something like this one.
I thought to my self why is it that when you draw a pumpkin its always two triangles for eyes and another one upside down for a nose and a mouth. I decided to go online and use some other sculpters ideas to make my own creative pumpkin carving. I was fasinated with some of the pumpkin carvings but they were so complicated. Just like the one below. It takes time to carve nice pumpkin and proper materials to do the job. But at the end your work will pay off.

Questions
1.What materials will you might use to carve a pumpkin?
2.When was the last time you have carved a pumpkin?
3.Create your own unique pumpkin design?

Beyond Ancient

This artwork might take you back to the medival ages (middle ages). We might have forgot all about these castles because everyone now is living in an apartment or house, but these building still exists. I myself thought they were all destroyed just like how dinosaurs were. So I decided to look more in it and google it to find more about it. This castles
is surrounded by trees and is located in a very large wood. This artwork just catch my eye when I look at because I have never saw one or live in one.I always had wonder how life was living in a castle where everything is bigger and the view of the outside surrounding is just magnificent.

Questions:
1. If you were to live in this castle for 2 months, would you like this giganitc place? Will you feel safe, if not what do you fear about living in the castle?

2. What differences would life be if you lived in this castle compared to your own house, or apartment? How will your life be like, if you were to leave Chicago and live at this castle? What will you lose or gain?

3.Why do you think this castle is surrounded by trees, is there any purpose for it?

Rotating House

I'd never thought about living in a rotating house untill now. When I see this house I ask myself why anyone would want to live in a house that spins!Won't that make them sick!Anyway, I think this is a very interesting topic because it's not something everyone see's everyday.I also think it's pretty cool.I'm not one of those people who wants everything I see but this really takes the cake!

1.Would you want to live in a rotating house? Why or why not?
2.Are their any hazards to living in this house?
3.Would you be interested in finging out how it was built?

Nesting

I never had a tree house.  I don't even remember if I ever wanted one.  But I do now!
The picture above shows a small sphere tree house.  It is made by a company called Free Spirit Spheres out of Canada.  This particular sphere house is located in Vancouver Island.  This sphere shaped tree house was invented by Tom Chudleigh, who explains,“Wooden spheres are built much like a cedar strip canoe or kayak, and suspension points are similar to the chain plate attachments on a sailboat.”  In the future, I would love to have one of these spherical homes to live and create artwork in.  Being surrounded by nature would be a great escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.  If I close my eyes, I can imagine the smells, sounds and sites of living high up in a tree somewhere in a forest.  Can you?

Discussion Questions:
1. Would you want to live in a tree?  Why or why not?
2. What kinds of challenges could you foresee living in one of these homes?
3. Using your sketchbook, create a quick sketch for a unique home of your own.  What does it look like?  Where would it be located?  How would it be unique?
